The V1162 is a next generation high performance embedded computing XMC featuring the Xilinx® Versal™ Adaptive System-on-Chip (ASoC) AND NVIDIA® Mellanox® ConnectX®-7 (MC-X7) network interface device alongside rugged optical and electrical IO options.

The V1162 is designed for applications requiring a combination of high speed interfaces, network offloads and onboard payload processing resources such as sensor interface design with onboard data processing (or pre-processing), multi-level secure networking and mixed protocol or protocol bridging applications. Radar, SIGINT, video, storage, medical imaging and embedded communications systems can all benefit from this module as well.

The convenient XMC form factor and rugged design of the V1162 can easily turn a VPX-based single board computer into a single-slot sensor interface and heterogeneous computing solution. The V1162 mounted on a x86 based single board computer will provide 100G optical interfaces, FPGA fabric and ARM processor cores all in a single slot solution. Plus, the V1162 is available in a 3U VPX form-factor instead of XMC for those that need it, the V6062.

The V1162 is a high-performance, rugged Ethernet XMC card designed for next-generation sensor interface, data processing and secure networking applications. Featuring the Xilinx Versal Adaptive System-on-Chip (ASoC) and NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-7 network interface device, it combines ARM processor cores, FPGA fabric and high-bandwidth network capabilities in a versatile, compact form factor.

The V1162 supports up to eight 1G to 25G optical or electrical ports, configurable through front-panel MPO connectors or VITA 66 optical backplane options. Its hardware offloads for protocols like UDP, TCP, RoCE v2, DPDK, GPUDirect and NVMEoF ensure unmatched performance in bandwidth-intensive applications such as radar, signal intelligence, video processing and medical imaging.

Built to handle extreme environments, the V1162 complies with VITA 20 and VITA 47 standards, operating reliably in temperatures from -40°C to 85°C. Its modular optics provide flexibility for field-specific requirements, while its rugged design makes it a powerful solution for SWaP-conscious embedded systems.

This card excels in heterogeneous computing scenarios, allowing it to function as a high-speed gateway with shared access for multiple host processors. Paired with a single board computer in a VPX system, the V1162 delivers a single-slot solution for complex applications requiring FPGA processing, network offloads and high-bandwidth I/O.

With support for additional protocols like Fibre Channel, sFPDP, ARINC-818 and Aurora — the V1162 is a flexible platform for mixed-interface needs and protocol bridging.
